EU Deforestation Regulation 2024 round table
7 November @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
EUDR Compliance Unpacked: Best Practices for businesses
The European Union Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR). is set to enter into force on December 30, 2024 and aims to prevent products linked to deforestation or forest degradation from entering the EU market. It applies to key commodities such as timber, rubber, cattle, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, and soybeans and extends to products derived from these, like leather, furniture, and chocolate. Companies involved in the supply chains of these products will need to ensure they meet the new due diligence requirements, proving that their goods do not contribute to deforestation.
To help companies navigate these evolving requirements, ICC Belgium in collaboration with Loyens & Loeff, KPMG, and Alongsight, are hosting a conference focused on building effective compliance programmes. The event will explore essential topics such as supply chain data management, traceability, and the potential role of AI in ensuring regulatory adherence.
