The Hague seminar: ICC Arbitration and accelerated proceedings

| €250The ICC Arbitration Rules have seen some important amendments in recent years. In 2014, an arrangement for the appointment of an “emergency arbitrator” has been introduced, pursuant to which emergency measures (orders) may be sought. In 2017, the ICC introduced rules for an ”expedited procedure” on the merits, for disputes with a value up to USD 2 million, which results in a final award. The increase of speed and reduced costs are important objectives of both options.
This seminar will focus on the added value of these proceedings and it will discuss the do’s and don’ts based on the practical experience so far.
