Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 21 at the Kerry Hotel in Beijing the event, co-organized by the Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (QBPC), will bring together major stakeholders to explore opportunities for rights holders, intermediaries, and governments to join forces to make headway on solutions to stop counterfeiting and piracy.

The workshop will feature four informative sessions examining how best to stop the flow of goods across borders, how to eliminate the criminal’s place of doing business, programmes being implemented to limit access to the Internet by unlawful traders, and efforts to prevent counterfeiters generating profit from their activities.

In sessions focusing on several key types of intermediary categories, workshop experts will discuss current challenges as well as the opportunities to cooperate on putting innovative responses into action.

The workshop will also feature best practices from the BASCAP report Roles and Responsibilities of Intermediaries: Fighting Counterfeiting and Piracy in the Supply Chain,

while INTA and QBPC will share best practices for addressing the sale of counterfeits through voluntary collaboration.
