Trade4U is a mobile application that can be used on tablets and smartphones. Recently, a web version has also become available.
Developed by the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency, this dynamic platform informs Belgian companies about international business opportunities related to their specific products/activities. In April 2016, Trade4U celebrated its first anniversary (testimonials).
Companies subscribing to Trade4U get hold of information on the latest economic and legal developments in international trade and receive a daily update about worldwide tenders and international projects. Nearly 500 information sources are consulted every day to identify the business opportunities most relevant for the subscribers.
Trade4U additionally offers an essential function for Belgian companies: the opportunity to form consortia. Most Belgian companies are small or middle-sized businesses, finding it challenging to make an offer for opportunities from large international institutions on their own. Thanks to Trade4U, companies can easily connect with each other to form consortia, opening doors to even more international opportunities.
As part of the Trade4U package, subscribers are invited to attend seminars on international business opportunities for Belgian companies free of charge. The latest Trade4U seminar was organized on April 20, 2016 and featured experts specialized in “How to finance your export”. Over 200 guests attended. The next seminar will take place in September 2016.
The Trade4U package also includes a personalized statistics subscription. Companies receive the import and export figures of their specific products for different markets on a monthly basis.
Moreover the Agency (via Belgian Diplomatic Posts) can order specifications for tenders for companies and quickly deliver the documents without additional administrative fees.
